Legal Assistant Management Association and Altman Weil, Inc. Partner to Produce LAMA's Compensation Survey
Newtown Square, PA, November 15, 2001 - Altman Weil, Inc., the international legal consulting organization, announces a strategic partnership with the Legal Assistant Management Association to produce LAMA’s Compensation Survey. The Survey will analyze benefits, salary administration and compensation data gathered from Legal Assistant Managers for the following seven key positions:
- Legal assistant manager
- Working manager/ supervisor
- Senior legal assistant
- Legal assistant/paralegal
- Specialist
- Legal assistant coordinator
- Legal assistant clerk
“We believe that Altman Weil’s 30 years of experience with economic and compensation surveys combined with LAMA’s respected position in the paralegal community will make a strong and effective partnership,” says Daniel J. DiLucchio, Principal of Altman Weil. “We look forward to a long lasting relationship.”
“Legal organizations struggling to attract and retain top-quality paralegal staff will have access to more and better data on salary and benefit trends than ever before,” DiLucchio adds.
Annual Data Collection
In the past LAMA Surveys were conducted every other year, leaving law firms and law departments with aged data in off years. LAMA and Altman Weil have revisited this issue and decided it would be most beneficial to the legal community to conduct the Survey on an annual basis.
More Robust Data
LAMA and Altman Weil have agreed to expand the call for data in an effort to enhance Survey participation. Thousands of additional contacts will be made with a corresponding increase in response expected.
Data Recognition
Beginning in 2002, the Altman Weil/LAMA Survey will serve as the primary resource for legal assistant compensation data. Altman Weil will forego collecting legal assistant compensation data elsewhere, making the Survey the definitive source for the legal community.
The call for Survey data will begin in January 2002 with an expected release date of May 2002. The Survey will be available from LAMA and Altman Weil Publications for $295.
Altman Weil Publications, Inc. is known for the many legal economics surveys it conducts and publishes, including the Survey of Law Firm Economics and the Law Department Compensation Benchmarking Survey.
