Legal Research Cost Reduction Specialist Allies with Altman Weil

Newtown Square, PA, February 28, 2012 — Nina Cunningham, a pioneer in the practice of legal research cost reduction, has allied with the management consulting firm of Altman Weil, Inc.

For over 30 years, Ms. Cunningham has worked with law firms and corporate law departments to make legal research more strategic, efficient and affordable.   She heads Quidlibet Research, Inc. where she provides highly specialized consulting services to manage and reduce research costs and introduce improvements in research operations.  Her advisory services also address the overall distribution of knowledge-based services in legal organizations which can positively affect a range of activities including practice planning, marketing, new service design, contract management, fee structure and general operations.

Some examples of Quidlibet’s other consulting services include: the reorganization of law libraries; the creation of complex litigation models to develop fixed fee strategies; the development of performance review procedures for virtual office staff; and, the invention of a computerized legal indexing system to assist in the management of database legal briefs, agreements and memoranda.

Ms. Cunningham began her career at the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois as a management analyst and administrator. Through her responsibility for the court’s library, she developed an expertise with computerized legal research.  Her work in training lawyers and judges to use the online systems led to the founding of her research service firm.

Nina Cunningham holds a MA in Library and Information Science (Dominican University); a MBA in Strategic Management and Finance (University of Chicago), and a PhD in Philosophy (DePaul University).  She is currently pursuing a Masters in Accounting at Northern Illinois University.
