Hann, a special advisor to Altman Weil’s Corporate Law Department Consulting Group, announced his retirement from the firm effective January 10, 2003. Mr. Hann served Altman Weil in many capacities, using his vast experience of in-house law departments to support benchmarking, best practices and survey research projects.

He played a key role in developing In-House Practice & Management, Altman Weil’s newsletter for corporate law departments, and acted as its editor.  His interviews of notable law department figures were frequently featured in the newsletter.

“Charlie’s contributions to the firm have been invaluable,” noted Altman Weil principal Daniel J. DiLucchio.  “He has used his organizational abilities, his knowledge of the industry, his background, contacts, writing skills and perseverance to help make Altman Weil the leader in our industry.”

“We feel extremely fortunate to have had an individual of Charlie Hann’s stature as part of our organization,” added Altman Weil principal Ward Bower.  “He will be greatly missed.”

He has been active in the legal community throughout his career, holding numerous leadership positions for organizations, including the Law Department Management Committee of the American Corporate Counsel Association; the Corporate Division of the ABA section on the Economics of Law Practice; and the Law Department Organization and Management Subcommittee, Corporate Counsel Committee of the ABA Business Law section.
