Two Law Department Experts Join Altman Weil

(Newtown Square, PA, December 6, 2006) — Marcia E. Heister and Pamela H. Woldow have joined legal management consultancy Altman Weil, Inc. as adjunct consultants.  Both Ms. Heister and Ms. Woldow will work primarily with the Altman Weil Corporate Law Department Group.

“We are very pleased to welcome Marcia and Pam to the Altman Weil corporate team,” said Altman Weil principal Dan DiLucchio.  “Their expertise with corporate legal departments and their hands-on experience as General Counsel will be invaluable to our clients – both those in corporate law departments as well as law firm clients looking for insight on the in-house perspective.”

Prior to joining Altman Weil, Ms. Heister served as General Counsel of several public and private financial and technology companies.  These included Independence Bancorp, a NASD-listed multi-bank holding company, Concord EFS, a NYSE-listed and Fortune 1000 electronic transaction processor, Sanchez Computer Associates, a NASD-listed global leader in software development, and Electronic Payment Services, a first-of-its-kind joint venture of the largest US bank holding companies.

Ms. Heister has extensive experience in the development of corporate legal, governance and compliance functions and the integration of numerous mergers and acquisitions. As a consultant and lawyer, she has provided legal support for strategic business development in rapidly changing corporate environments, including the development of offshore ventures and the implementation of sophisticated compliance programs.

Ms. Woldow was formerly a partner and the National Practice Leader for Litigation Services for Smart and Associates, a national accounting and consulting firm.  Her career has included positions as Chief Counsel of the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance, Deputy General Counsel of Pennsylvania, Director of Risk Management and Litigation Management for a $2 billion public financial services corporation and law firm commercial litigator.

This background gives Ms. Woldow expertise in all aspects of litigation management, corporate compliance and complex commercial litigation, as well as a deep knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industries.  Her law firm practice experience enhances her understanding of the counsel-client relationship.

Founded in 1970, Altman Weil provides management consulting services to law firms, law departments, governmental legal organizations and legal vendors throughout North America, Latin America, the U.K. and Europe.  The firm is independently owned by its professional consultants, who have backgrounds in law, industry, finance, marketing, administration and government.  For more information on Altman Weil go to www.altmanweil.com.
