First Global Legal Consultancy Launched
Newtown Square, PA, London, Hong Kong, April 14, 2009 – Three market leaders in legal management consulting today announced the formation of the first and only truly global legal consultancy through a strategic alliance of their organizations. The alliance, which will operate under the banner of Altman Weil Global, is formed by Altman Weil, Inc. headquartered in the United States, Jomati Consultants, LLP, based in the UK, and Professional Development Asia Limited (PDA) in Hong Kong.

Members of the alliance have long and successful records advising law firms and law departments on strategy and management, and in-depth knowledge of the markets in which they operate. Together they offer a strong, credible, on-the-ground capability in all key legal markets and the ability to move among those markets.

Over the last two decades, large US law firms made significant investments in UK and European offices and acquisitions. Leading UK firms looked to New York and Europe for expansion opportunities. In the last ten years, many of the same firms have set their sights on Asia. Multi-national corporations with internal legal functions have followed the same track.
